Ever since I switched over to airbag suspension, I knew I had made a mistake. The bags have given me problems ever since getting them installed. I’ve had issues from a blowing a air line a couple feet from my garage to a leaky bag straight out of the box.
Would I recommend getting bags? Yes and no. If all you care about is being dropped to the ground and going to shows, then there is a place for them. But if you want to go drive and have the confidence to push the car a little harder, then I’d rather go with a coilover setup.
With that said, I’m going with a hybrid setup on the Subaru. I’m still researching on what coilover I want to go with but I will be running the Stanceparts air cup conversion with the coilover. Before I figure out the coilover brand, I’ve decided to start buying the “while you are in there” mods. Plan is to redo the entire suspension with replacing worn out bushings, arms, and coils.
