In the previous blog post I talked about running the CARFAX when buying my dream car, the 2007 STI Limited, and believing how the universe works with numbers and such. In a total leap of blind faith, I literally bought the car off of the previous owner without running the CARFAX and have always wondered what was the history on the car. I was playing the ignorance is bliss card for the better part of the years of ownership of this car…

This was the first photo I ever took of the STI and I attached the original Craigslist ad for the car. There was nothing out of the ordinary on the ad and the modifications done to the car were all relatively “safe” mods for me.
About a year ago, I decided to finally run the CARFAX just to see. At this point, I had already decided that this STI is the forever car so I didn’t care what I was about to find out if it was good or bad. I was already financially and mentally so invested in this car that it didn’t matter what I found out besides a small peace of mind.
Running the CARFAX put my mind at ease a bit on all the unknowns. I already had the title in hand by now and knew it was clean title so I wasn’t worried about it being salvaged title or not. What surprised me the most was how many previous owners there were for the car…

If you haven’t put the title and running the CARFAX together yet, I am lucky owner number 7 of this 2007 Subaru STI. Take a closer look at the photo below. It says “STI LIMITED 077/800”. Another sign of 7’s? This can’t be coincidence right? But there’s more! Guess what day is my birthday… Yup the 7th!!

I’m a huge believer in the universe and somehow this car ended up in my garage. This STI is one of the most important things in my life and has helped me get through the highest of highs and lowest of lows.
This car saved my life.
