Mickey from Oswald Performance came back from out of the blue and started manufacturing the bumper beams again and I placed my order right away on his recent preorder he ran. This was definitely a part I needed for the next phase of the STI build…!
The bumper beam is on its second revision design and removes about ~20lbs off the front end of the car! I was curious to see the weight and was surprised that in only weighed 5.45lbs even with the tow hook attached!
This part is recommended if you wanted to run an aftermarket front bumper as you don’t have to cut up the OEM bumper beam to make the bumpers fit better.
This is a quality piece as you can tell from the bends and the welds!
Overall, I’m pretty excited about getting this part and it gets me one step closer to achieving the next phase of the STI build! More on that in a later blog post!
