About 15+ years ago, I took a photo of a Subaru that has lived rent free in my mind ever since. After I picked up my Limited STI, I’ve always had the thought in the back of mind to chase that look I saw as a teenager. But as with all things, it was always fixing/maintaining the car before being able to chase that dream.
Throughout the years though, I’ve collected and sourced some of the rarest GD parts that were made by Subaru and the aftermarket companies around the world. One thing I never did though was sell any of the rare car parts I bought until recently….
Someone offered me a stack of cash to sell some of my most coveted rare parts in my collection. I’m talking multiple parts and a number I could not refuse. I sold him the holy grail in S20x parts which included S203 CF backed seats that have been custom reupholstered in Alcantara, S203 door cards, S203 spoiler, and a set of S204 BBS wheels powder coated in gold!

It’s pretty wild to see all the parts all together and installed on his car!
The selling of the parts was done intentionally though to help me chase the dream of what I saw 15+ years ago. I used the funds from selling all those rare parts to acquire one of the COOLEST kits out there for the GD chassis. And with that, I leave you with these photos…

This has been THE dream chasing and manifesting I’ve been doing ever since I bought the STI. But don’t worry, the car will not be going widebody. In the photos, I have a Voltex front bumper, rear diffuser, and wing. We are now waiting for the side skirts to arrive from Japan in hopefully early 2026!
But what if I told you that the main quest above is being put on the back burner while I chase a side quest? I got a surprise up my sleeve and I can’t wait to show the world what I’ve been working on the past few months with the STI.
There’s a reason why I chose not to go widebody. Although I love OEM+, I also love how time attack cars look. By not going widebody, it allows me to switch from two very drastic looks and interchange whenever I want.
