The OEM PLUS COLLECTIVE is proud to present to you THE dream part I’ve been wanting ever since I got into Subaru’s. This is my genuine S204 spoiler that I recently acquired!!!
I did a quick and dirty video on this part to highlight how to spot a fake! What it boils down to is the following:
- Injection molded parts should say “PP-T20”
- Rubber grommet to protect the wires
- Replica spoilers will have the wires as red and black
- Rivets for the screws
- Look out for STI logo. They are easy to replicate!
Now that this is out the way, let’s finally talk about my DREAM car part for the STI. This has been the part I’ve chased ever since I got the STI. I came close to purchasing one over in Europe 6+ years ago and I FUMBLED the ball hard due to me choosing to do maintenance over buying aesthetic mods. That decision has haunted me ever since because I have rarely ever seen another S204 spoiler come up for sale on the market until this one popped up…!
When I saw this one pop up on the internet, I had to buy it even though I am in no position to do so. I regretted it once and I wasn’t going to let it slip by me again. The dumb financial decisions we do for this hobby but I am absolutely over the moon knowing I have finally collected all of the “infinity stones” I’ve ever wanted for the STI.
With the latest purchases, I am “done” buying car parts for the STI for a very long time. Every part on my Tier 1 list has been acquired and like I said in previous posts, the next step is paint…! I’m not sure when I’ll get to paint but it’ll happen one day. I’ve only spoken to a couple homies about what I’ve been cooking but trust me, it’ll be worth it.
